Queen Charlotte Week is a city-wide celebration of Black women in Charlotte inspired by the city’s namesake Queen Sophia Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

After the show, it’s the after-party! Join the Blumenthal and Epoch Tribe teams, along with the I Am Queen: Charlotte cast, and the honored Class of Queens as we celebrate the show. Food and drinks will be top-tier. This is an opportunity to celebrate, connect, and close out the night in a royal fashion.

Give Her Flowers

In celebration of I am Queen Charlotte Week, we present Give Her Flowers; an afternoon of discussion and artistic celebration of the history and impact of Black women in Charlotte and beyond. Join us for an inspiring event which will include panel discussions, a public photoshoot, hands-on art, and live music. Young girls and elders alike are welcome to connect and reflect on the wide range of contributions Black women have made to art and culture.
*Please note that you may register at no charge, but will have to pay the price of admission to enter the Gantt. 
*Parking is available at the Levine Center Parking Garage, 101 W. Brooklyn Village, located across the street from the Gantt Center. Visitor parking is available on levels P1 and P2. When you arrive at the Gantt, please ask any visitor experience associate for a discounted parking pass.
